Uganda will be targeting nothing but victory against Tanzania in the second leg of the first preliminary round of the FIFA U20 Women World Cup Qualifiers at Startimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Uganda lost 2-1 in the first leg played in Tanzania two weeks ago, with U17 captain Juliet Nalukenge providing the consolation.

The girls will need at least a 1-0 victory to qualify to the next round compared to the visitors who just need any kind of draw.

However, the head coach, Oliver Mbekeka is convinced that her side is well prepared and set for the game.

“We are ready for the game, we have organized players on how to attack and defend, with high speed in transition, press and attack in big numbers,” Coach Mbekeka said on Friday after team’s last training at Lugogo.

“We missed many chances in Tanzania but we worked very hard on it and we going to have a compact defense that Tanzania won’t go through despite their speed.”

If Uganda overcome Tanzania, they face winner between Senegal and Sierra Leone in the second round of the qualifiers.
