Mbarara City FC Release Bashir Muweesi, Stephen Kabuye

Mbarara City FC has let go of two players Stephen Kabuye and Bashir Muweesi, its official.

Mbarara CEO Norbert Semusu has confirmed the development through a document saying that they have agreed to terminate Muweesi’s contract while that of Kabuye has not been renewed.

“We thank both players for their services for the time they were with us and wish them the very best in future,” said CEO Semusu.

Muwesi, a lanky defender, joined Mbarara City last year on a three-year deal from Katwe United but has failed to break into the team.

Kabuye, an attacking midfielder, joined the Ankole Lions from Bulemeezi of Masaza Cup in 2018 and signed a two-year contract.

Swalik Bebe Ssegujja, Bamba Souleymane, Jude Ssemugabi and Pistis Barenge have renewed their contracts recently.

Mbarara City are yet to confirm any new signing but have already lost Ibrahim Orit to Vipers and Brian Aheebwa will not be at the club next season as it stands.
