Ten-Man Villa Fight Back To Draw BUL In Bugembe

SC Villa fought back with a man down for a point off BUL FC in their league opener at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.

Emmanuel Wasswa curled the ball home in the 4th minute to hand Villa am early lead but were pegged back Musa Esenu assisted Richard Wandyaka to head in an equaliser at the half-hour mark.

Esenu turned goalscorer in the 54th minute to take a 2-1 lead, and Villa were further dented when Benson Muhindo was sent off in the 68th minute.

Nicholas Kabonge equalised ten minutes later and his side held on for the rest of the game to kickstart their 2020/21 campaign with a point.

Next for Villa is a home game against Mbarara City FC while BUL take a short trip to face Busoga United in Njeru.
