The Uganda Cranes were subjected to a first loss at the on-going CHAN tournament in Cameroon as they fell 2-1 against Togo, on Friday, January 22.
A Patrick Mbowa own goal put the Localhawks ahead just after the break before Uganda equalised off a Saidi Kyeyune screamer, two minutes later.
Just as Kyeyune had done, at the other end, Richard Nene volleyed hole from outside the area for what would prove to be the winning goal.
The result leaves Uganda rooted at the foot of the Group C log with just a single point from three games.
For Togo, they sit second on three points after losing their opening game 1-0 to Morocco.
The last round of Group games will see Uganda, who need three points to reach the last 8, face Morocco while Togo locks horns with Rwanda.

Charles Lukwago 7.0
Lukwago cannot be faulted for any of the goals conceded. One was an unfortunate own goal while the other was arguably the goal of the tournament as per now. He went on to produce two fine stops to deny Ouro Agoro and Samou Tchatakora, to ensure the Cranes lose by only one.
Denis Iguma 4.5
After Paul Willa had a dreadful game against Rwanda, Iguma was brought in to sort the mess at right back but failed. Was booked early and despite the fact that he played on, he never produced the performance his experience warrants both defensively and going forward.
Aziz Kayondo 5.0
A slight improvement from his display on Monday but was once again lacking especially when going forward. On more than two occasions, Kayondo found himself in a decent position in the final third but failed to deliver the good for the forwards to feed on.
Mustafa Mujuzi 6.0
Another decent individual performance by the Kyetume FC defender and he must feel unlucky to have martialled a defence that conceded twice. With the rest failing to deal with Agoro, Muguzi stopped the big striker on several occasions.
Patrick Mbowa 4.5
Scored an unfortunate own goal, one that he surely could not do much about as it came too quickly to him. He struggled all afternoon against Agoro and it was not surprising that he was taken off late in the game as Uganda tried to find an equaliser.
Shafick Kagimu 5.5
Another mixed performance by the URA FC captain as he was in and out of the game. Assisted Kyeyune’s equalizer although the goal will always be remember for the way it was scored and not the pass that led to it.
Bright Anukani 4.5
Another player who has disappointed in both the opening two games. This time round, Anukani played 90 minutes but he had minimal impact on the proceedings.
Tonny Mawejje 4.5
Taken off at halftime to add more creativity in the middle. Mawejje was solid as always but clearly lacked the legs to push the team forward.
Joackim Ojera 4.0
The pacey winger had a poor game as compared to his exploits against Rwanda. Ojera lost possession more often than not and his substitution must have come as a welcome sight to many.
Ibrahim Orit 5.0
Ibrahim Orit was handed a start down the left and had a mixed game. The Vipers SC winger spent huge spells out of the game but occasionally produced decent moments in the final third.
Shaban Muhammad 3.0
Surprisingly started ahead of Brian Aheebwa but despite making some good runs down the channels, he never really troubled the Togo goalkeeper. Failed to connect with a fine Vianne Ssekajugo cross as he arrived late.
Substitutes
Saidi Kyeyune 7.5
What a goal he scored, just six minutes after coming on at the start of the second half. Kyeyune added much needed energy to the team but they fell short.
Vianni Ssekajugo 4.5
Save for the cross that Shaban failed to connect with, Ssekajugo had little impact after coming on for Ojera in the 57th minute.
