Ugandan Striker Returns To KPL, Signs With Bandari FC

Ugandan Striker Umaru Kasumba has joined Kenyan top-flight side Bandari FC as a free agent.

Kasumba who names Ugandan clubs Police FC and SC Villa as his former employers, makes a return to the Kenyan top-flight although the nitty-gritty details of deal remain undisclosed by his new bosses.

“We are pleased to confirm that Striker Umaru (Kasumba) has agreed to join us and he is ready to play, and don’t be surprised to see him line up for us in the league match against Wazito on Saturday,” The Dockers confirmed on their social media platforms.

The towering forward whose forte is aerial prowess and predatory instincts is no stranger in the confines of Kenyan top-flight football.

He was a force to be reckoned with in the KPL two seasons ago notching an impressive 17 goals and the player’s eye catching scoring exploits caught the attention of suitors with Zambian side Zesco United luring him there after.

Kasumba has been without a club for close to twelve months or so and will have to fight for a starting berth with Congolese Yema Mwana and John Mwita.

Kasumba with join forces with Ugandan compatriot William Wadri who is playing a starring role in the side’s top performances this season thus far.

Wadri was named the best player for the month of February in the FKF league.
