Kawawa Decides West Nile Derby as Arua Hill Downs Paidha

Substitute Rashid Kawawa’s late brace ensured all three points for Arua Hill against Paidha Black Angels at the Bar Okoro stadium in Paidha in the latest West Nile Derby.

The match kicked off despite the down pour and the visitors had an early chance in the 2nd minutes as Alfred Leku failed to guide the ball home after nice inter-play by Gaddafi Gadinho and Baden Mujahid.

Five minutes later, Rashid Yakin wiped in a cross but Leku again headed the ball wide.

Patric Aruwa played a nice cross for the hosts but debutant Victor Kilama couldn’t meet the ball.

The Blacks had an opportunity to break the deadlock after Julius Choka played in a nice cross but Kilama once again couldn’t connect.

Agua could have made it 1-0 for the visitors but he poked the ball out after a cross from Baden.

Nothing could separate both sides in the first half.

Just after the re-start of second half Dan Bilikwalira attempted cross went on target but was tipped over by the host’s goalkeeper.

In the 80th minutes Substitute Kawawa broke the deadlock for the visitors. The goal scorer had replaced Biden earlier.

Three minutes to the 90 Kawawa doubled the Leopards lead to complete his brace.

Paidha Black Angels still sits rock-bottom of the Elgon group with 1 point in 7 matches.

Arua Hill SC are top of the log of with 15 points in 7 matches.

Both sides will be waiting for the release of the second round of the FUFA Big League fixtures.
