Surprise Inclusions In Uganda Cranes Squad For South Africa Friendly

Uganda Cranes squad to face South Africa in an International Friendly has been summoned.

The Cranes face Bafana Bafana on June 10th in South Africa.

The 34-man squad include a couple of surprise inclusions like Bright Stars goalkeeper Simon Tamale.

Express FC forward Eric Kambale makes the cut after scoring 15 goals in the league.

Mbarara City’s Innocent Wafula, Express captain Enock Walusimbi, URA FC midfielder Ivan Sserubiri and Bright Stars forward Joseph Akandanwaho have also been rewarded with calls for their strong performances in the league.

Youngsters Gavin Kizito Mugweri, Kenneth Ssemakula, Richard Basangwa, Isma Mugulusi and Derrick Kakooza are included following their impressive showings with the Uganda Hippos at AFCON U20.

After Denis Onyango retired, Emmanuel Okwi has been handed the arm band.
