Preview: Kitara Looking For Upset

Kitara FC welcome KCCA FC in Masindi as the Uganda Premier League matchday 27 continues.

The hosts have already been demoted back to FUFA Big League next season but with nothing to fight for, the side would want to leave a permanent mark at least.

They have three wins to their name in the league, beating Kyetume, MYDA and Wakiso Giants. They would want to add KCCA to their short list of victims.

“We are not scared of them,” stated Kitara star player Patrick Kusemererwa who has three goals so far in the league this season.

“We have had good preparations for the game, and as an individual, am fully fit and ready to take them down.”

The prospect of playing in the second tier next season leaves no choice to players but rather than to put up good shows as they indirectly market themselves to go for greener pastures.

KCCA FC, just like Kitara, are litely fighting for a lost cause. They can longer win the league and it will take a miracle of sorts for the side to displace Vipers in third, as they trail the defending champions by 11 points.

Defender Peter Magambo scored twice while Bright Anukani and Samson Kigozi netted the other goals as KCCA won the tie 4-0 at Lugogo in the first round.
