Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has unveiled Serbian Milutin Micho Sredejovich as the new Uganda Cranes coach.
Micho, who left Uganda in 2017, was confirmed as the new man in charge on July 27 2021.
He jetted in on Monday before his unveiling on Tuesday at FUFA house by Federation President Moses Magogo.
The Serbian, replacing Jonathan Mckinstry, has been awarded a three-year renewable contract effective 1st August, 2021.
Magogo said that it was a long hunt and “difficult task” to appoint a Cranes coach from very many applicants and added that “We believe Micho is much better than when he left but I also believe he has also found a much better fufa than the one he left.”

Micho, left Uganda to join Orlando Pirates in July 2017, citing unpaid arrears of about Sh230M, the amount which FUFA has since paid.
He rejoined Orlando Pirates before moving North to Zamalek and was on February 3 2020 named Zambia coach.
“Mugyebaleko ba ssebo,” greeted Micho in the local dialect.
The Serbian expressed his emotional return and apologised to FUFA and all Ugandan for his untimely departure way back in 2017.
He added: “I was born in Serbia 51 years ago but I was football-wise born in Uganda.”
“I believe I am in much better form than I left.”
Micho confirms his backroom staff
Micho stated that the local coaches in his backroom staff will not be attached to any local team.
Livingston Mbabazi will be his assistant, Fred Kajoba is the goalkeeper coach, Geoffrey Massa as the Manager while Ivan Ssewanyana has also been named as a physiotherapist.
The gaffer will work with Director of Performance Frank Plaine (France) who he worked with at Orlando Pirates and a Video Analyst Addis Worku (Ethiopia).
The development leaves out Abdallah Mubiru who worked as Jonathan Mckinstry’s assistant and interim coach after the Northern Irishman left.
