Robert Odongkara Close to signing for another club

Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Robert Odongkara is set to join another Ethiopian premier league side Jimma Aba Jifar Football Club.

Close sources to this website have it that talks between the player’s agent and the club are underway to see the goalkeeper seal a move to the side.

Currently, Odongkara is a free agent having made a decision not to renew his employment contract at Guinea record Premier League champions Horoya Athletic Club. He had joined the club in 2019 signing a two year employment contract with the club.

If the deals gets done, it will be a familiar environment for Odongkara and as well his third club in Ethiopia. As well, he will be joining Charles Lukwago who of recent completed a move to his former side St. George SC.

Previously, Odongkara spent 7 seasons at Ethiopia’s record champions St. George before leaving the club in 2018. He later joined rivals Adama City, another club in Ethiopia which he played for a season before joining Horoya Athletic Club in Guniea Conakry.

Here in Uganda, Odongkara has played for Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and Sports Club Villa.
