Kato Samuel Joins Club In Rwanda

Former KCCA FC defender Samuel Kato Nemeyimana has joined Bugesera FC in Rwanda, his new side announced on Friday evening.

The lanky defender has joined in a deal that will see him stay at the club until 2023.

“We are pleased to inform you that Kato Samuel Nemeyimana, a central midfielder who played for Uganda’s KCCA, is now a Bugesera Fc player for the next two years.”

KCCA FC confirmed Kato’s departure on September 7th alongside Moses Aliro.

He made his senior debut for KCCA FC against Tanzania’s Azam FC in the group stages of the CECAFA Cup held in Rwanda in June/ July 2019.

He brings a wealthy of experience to Bugesera FC who finished eighth in 2019 season before the subsequent campaign was called off due to Covid19 pandemic.

Born in Mulago, Kato studied at Budo SS, which he captained to win the 2018 Copa Coca-cola in Mbarara when they beat Blessed Sacrament Kimanya in the final.

He won the 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup with KCCA FC.
