StarTimes UPL: FUFA Confims Match-day One officials

The Federation of Uganda Football Association has confirmed the Matchday one officials for the first three Uganda Premier league games as the 2021/22 Season gets underway this Friday.

The game between defending Champions Express FC against new UPL entrants Arua Hill will see Kasalirwe Lucky serve as the Centre Referee and will be assisted by Masembe Isa and Mulindwa Hakim as first and second assistants.

Naigaga Habiba will serve as the fourth official while Waiswa Ali will be the referee assessor the game at Wankulukuku.

In the other game, Mbarara City hosts Soltilo Bright Stars in Kakyeka; Sabila Ali has been assigned as the Centre referee for this game.

He will be assisted by Mafumu Mustafa and Friday Noah, who will be the first and second assistants respectively. Nabadda Shamirah will be the fourth official while Masiko John Bosco has been named as the referee assessor.

In Arua City, Opio Deogratious will be the Centre referee as Onduparaka Face host army side UPDF FC at the green Light Stadium.

Agi Tonny and Okwang Mario will be the first and second assistant referees respectively. For Omara Paul, he has been named as the fourth official while Letti Mike will be the referee assessor.

In the latest fixture released earlier this week, 16 time record Champions SC Villa were left out, while Busoga United which was initially omitted out was included.

The Federation says that Villa does not have proper leadership and governance, yet it is one of the requirements for club licensing.

The rest of the games will come on Saturday and Sunday with a number of teams in action.
