Preview: Davis Kasirye Facing Former Side

Table leaders KCCA will hope to maintain their unbeaten start to the season with a win against UPDF at the Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

On-form forward Davis Kasirye who has scored 3 goals this season will face his former side having joined the Kasasiro Boys from the Army side.

Kasirye was not a popular signing at KCCA FC but has managed to repay Byekwaso’s faith after impressing in the opening games.

The forward was on Thursday named the Pilsner Player of the Month, while Byekwaso took home the coach’s equivalent after the side looked unstoppable in October.

KCCA sits top of the log with 13 points in 5 matches while UPDF are 5th with 8 points.

KCCA head coach says they have prepared well but he predicts that it won’t be an easy game.

“We are prepared as usual but the games have their own diversities,” he said.

“We’ve won UPDF several times here but football is about today not yesterday so we can’t live on history.

“We have to work as hard as possible to see that first we play well then next thing will be the positive results.

“UPDF has alot of experienced players, so we think they are going to be very tough and dangerous. Once you analyse the way they have been playing this season they have been very compact and hard to break.

“I think the game is going to be very hard but we shall try to see that we win at home.”
