BUL FC scored late in the game to salvage a point against Gaddafi FC in a Jinja derby clash held at the Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe on Sunday evening.
Richard Ayiko grabbed a late equaliser in the 85th minute as Alex Isabirye’s men picked a point on the day.
Substitute Alex Kitata had earlier put the Visitors ahead in the 57th minute.
The first half saw a closely contested affair from both sides but Gaddafi will rue missed Chances as they would have been ahead before the break.
They had a penalty call earlier in the game after pacy forward Otim James seemed to have been fouled in the forbidden area before Magumba Bakali headed wide off Hassan Musana well crafted free kick.
In the 25th, Muwawu Faisal was stretchered off injured after he collided with goalkeeper Saidi Keni. Alex Kitara came on, a move that could later pay off for the Visitors.
At the restart of the, the Soldiers Boyz, who had a bright first half continued with their dorminance and it wasn’t a surprise that they scored first.
In the 57th minute, off the bench, Kitata put the Soldier Boyz ahead slotting in home after being put through on goal by Brian Kalumba.
There on, Bul FC, despite their dorminance failed to break a well composed Gaddafi FC defence as they looked compact throughout the evening.
Finally with five minutes left on the clock, Ayiko saw his long effort go into the back of the net after beating goalkeeper Mutebi Ronald to help his side pick a point at home.
The result sees Gaddafi remain in the eigth position with 9 points after seven games played. For Bul FC, they leapfrog Vipers SC to go second on 14 Points collected from their first games this season.
What Next- Gaddafi will host Vipers SC on 1st December next week on Wednesday while Bul will be away to KCCA FC on the same day.
