Preview: BUL Target Wakiso Giants scalp

Hosts BUL FC will be seeking for a way to return to winning away when they host fired up Wakiso Giant in their match day 17 fixture at Bugembe.

The Eastern side are winless in thier last three and yet to win a league game in 2022, since their last 4-0 win against Arua Hills in December last year.

They will also be looking forward to avoid a back to back defeat at home after losing 3-1 against table leader Vipers in their last encounter, which was their second loss at home after losing to Express 3-1 in October last year

“As have been telling you that we have been trying to get the three points in each game we play, so we are again planning to have the 3 points against Wakiso and all players are ready as well, because we are badly in need of those 3 point against Wakiso” said Head Coach Alex Isabirye.

A win for hosts will see them shift from 7th position to 3rd on the log with 29 points, depending on what will come out from Vipers vs Arua Hills and URA vs Gaddafi, so they can’t afford to slip again at home

The visitors on the other hand, they will be looking forward to keep their second round perfect start intact after a comfortable 4-1 win against Gaddafi in their last game.

They will even be much more eager to get the three points as they will put them in title race mix, occupying the third spot on the log with 30 points, depending on what will come from Vipers and Arua hill fixture

The purple Sharks are going to Bugembe with their heads high, being a place holding part of their history and a place where they are yet to lose a game and they be looking forward to complete a double header following a seven goal thriller in first round at Kabaka Kyabagu where Wakiso won 4-3.

The purple sharks are currently 6th on the log with 27 games corrected from 16 matches.

“Bugembe is our other home and we have a lot history there. It’s a place where our journey started and we cherish the memories. The players are excited to play there again and we target all points to give our area fans the joy” coach Gitta.
