Dixon Bond Okello Among Ugandans Assigned CAF Duties

Renown security expert Dixon Bond Okello is among the three Ugandans assigned CAF duties for the forthcoming Inter Club matches next weekend.

Okello, an experienced FUFA, CAF and FIFA security officer will handle security for the CAF Champions League match Al Hilal and Al Merrikh on Friday, March 2022 at Omdurman Stadium.

The nonsense Okello who was voted the best security man at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon, also handled security on Saturday at the Masaza Cup final in Kitende.

Okello is braced for the Sudanese derby on the Continent but his credentials is a proof that he is the right man of the job.

In the reverse fixture, Elsamani Saadeldin brace inspired Al Merrikh past Al Hilal in a 2-1 win while Mohamed Abdel Raman was on target for Al Hilal.

Orlando Pirates thumped Royal Leopards 6-2 at the Mbombela stadium in the reverse fixture. Visitors Orlando Pirates scored through Happy Jele, Bandile Shandu, Kabelo Dlamini, Kwame Peprah and an own goal by Machawe Dlamini while Mzwandile Mabelesa and Thabiso Mokenkoane scored for the hosts.

Orlando Pirates are second in the standing with 6 points, a point above leaders Al Ittihad two above third place JS Saoure while Royal Leopards are 4th without a single point.

Ali Mulumba Tomusange will be the Referee Assesor as Simba SC from Tanzania hosts Morocco’s RS Berkane at Dar ES Salaam national stadium on Sunday 13th in Confederation Cup Group D.

In the first leg, RS Berkane were 2-0 winners courtesy of first half goals from Adama Ba and Charki El Bahri.

RS Berkane are top of the group with six points, Simba are 2nd with 4 points level with USGN while ASEC Monosa are bottom with 3 points.
