Zonal Qualifiers: CECAFA Confirms Teams, Date and Venue

 

The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) has confirmed the teams and dates for the Zonal Women’s Champions League 2022.

The tournament, set for its second edition, is a qualifier for the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League 2022.

Auka Gecheo, the CECAFA Executive Director has confirmed that it will take place from July 28th to August 10th in Arusha, Tanzania.

Eight teams, including Uganda’s FUFA Women Super League champions She Corporate will take part.

The tournament will have a new champions after Vihiga Queens of Kenya is ineligible to take part after Kenya’s FIFA Ban.

The tournament will have four teams placed in two groups.

The Arusha Abeid Stadium and the Black Rhino Academy, Karatu will host the tournament.

She Corporate will be hoping to book a single ticket to the CAF Women’s Champions League that will be staged in Morocco.
