FUFA Gives Proline Greenlight To Play In Kampala Region

FUFA has finally allowed Proline to play in Kampala Regional League for the 2022/23 season.

The side that was relegated from FUFA Big League last season, had their request earlier denied by the Federation.

And they were to play in Buganda Regional League instead with FUFA then saying that Proline had acquired Nalubaale FC in 2009 that was started in Buikwe which is a Buganda region.

“FUFA Executive Committee has reconsidered Proline FC’s initial request to play in the Kampala Regional League,” reads part of the statement posted on FUFA social media handles.

It’s a welcoming decision for Proline who had expressed their discontent after their request was initially denied.

Club President Mujib Kasule, while appearing on NBS Sport on Thursday, said that finding a stadium to host their games from outside Kampala Region had proved to be a hard task.

And in an earlier statement, Proline CEO William Bakkabulindi had stated that “Forcing us to change a locality will be detrimental to our progress and survival as an institution.”

The Kampala Regional League is expected to start early next month.
