Preview: Gaddafi Targets Maximum Points as they host Onduparaka.

Gaddafi FC have their eyes set on securing maximum points as they host Onduparaka in their second game of the Uganda Premier league at the Gaddafi Arena in Jinja.

Wasswa Bbosa’s side are eager to bounce back from the Villa loss they succumbed to in their first game of the season.

“There are a lot of lessons we picked from our loss to Villa and we have gone ahead to fix the mistakes we made,” coach Bbosa said.

“The boys are in good shape and we are at home, so I believe we can capitalize on that to get maximum points.”

The Soldier Boys had a busy transfer window which saw them change almost half of their squad and on top they had a better preseason as they featured in the Amhara Bank Tana Cup in Ethiopia.

But only to come back home to lose 2-0 against SC Villa.

They will have to bank on Onduparaka’s failure to score in both of their games they have played but they will also need to work hard to beat their defence which is yet to concede a goal.

Club captain Andrew Waiswa has urged his teammates to give in all their best as they are to face Onduparaka a side which hasn’t yet lost a single game despite their failure to score in both of them.

“The morale in the camp is high, the boys are well motivated. Onduparaka is not an easy opponent, he has not lost this season but we are ready. I believe we are well prepared and we will give our best to get the job done,” said Waiswa.

Onduparaka FC assistant coach Hamza Kalanzi has vowed to guide his side in search for maximum points.

“We are very prepared to face Gaddafi and we are going to Jinja for three points. We played the first two games and payed back to FUFA so tomorrow our league begins and we expect maximum points,” the gaffer said.

“You can not get three points without scoring and tomorrow as we target a win, our main efforts have been on the front line so expect a goal in our game against Gaddafi,” said Coach Kalanzi.

Onduparaka currently sit 15th on the log without a point despite still to lose a game after collecting two draws in their first two games.
