Hosts Jinja North United FC came from a goal down to beat Adjumani TC FC 3-1 in the early kickoff encounter of the FUFA Big League match day-six played at Kyabazinga stadium.
Stephen Mwanje’s penalty canceled Sadik Nasur’s opener for the Visitors.
Then second half goals from Bashir Kabi and Wyclif Nviiri finished the job to record a third straight win for Jinja North who moved to fourth place with 11 points.
For Adjumani, it was their third loss of the season and the side drops back into Red zone in 13th position with just four points.
The Visitors enjoyed the lions share of the the ball and almost went up but Anyana Emmanuel shot wide in the seventh minute.
In 18th minute, Sadik Nasur’s long ball met John Wani who made a beautiful run before laying a good cross for Shafi to finish.
Anyama had a chance to make it 2-0 but goalkeeper Salim Munaku managed to deny him with his long legs.
In the 35th minute, Mwanje leveled matters from the spot after Francis Yikita’s foul on Bashir Kabi.
From a very good link up play in just seven minutes into the second half, Kabi released Dickson Matama to left wing before running unmarked to the far post where he put a cool finish to Matama’s cross to put his side upfront.
Four minutes later, Kabi made it 3-1 with a one touch finish into the bottom corner from a Well swung in cross from dangerous substitute Denis Waihe.
With 14 minutes to play, Matama with a goal keeper after beating his marker, fired his attempt few inches wide at near post.
Jinja North will next Thursday visit Ibanda to play Kaaro Kalungi in their next fixture while Adjumani will take anonther long trip just after two days to play Kyetume on Sunday at Nakisunga.
