BUL: Simeone Masaba Elevated To Head Coach

Uganda Premier League side BUL FC have confirmed Simeone Masaba as an interim head coach.

Masaba comes in for Alex Isabirye who joined Vipers after the sacking of Brazilian-Spanish tactician Bento Bianchi.

“Hello Eastern Giants. Let’s welcome coach Simeon Masaba our Interim coach for the rest of the season,” BUL confirmed on their Social media pages.

He will be assisted Baker Kasule, James Magala and Dan Kabale.

Masaba was Isabirye’s Assistant Coach and guided them to Uganda Cup triumph last season.

The former Uganda Cranes right back previously worked at Onduparaka and URA as an Assistant coach and was twice named the care-taker coach at the Arua based side.

He also had stints at UPDF, Wakiso Giants and URA as an Assistant coach.

He was also Jackson Mayanja’s Assistant at the U20 Uganda National team that featured at the U20 AFCON in Egypt.

His first task will be against his former pay masters Onduparaka on Wednesday in the Uganda Cup.

BUL FC sit third on the log with 29 points after 17 games.
