UPDF Tomahawks suffered a 53-60 loss against Our Saviour in the National Basketball League game at YMCA Court in Wandegeya.

But in dramatic turn of events, there was a stand-off just after tip-off after UPDF walked off the court in protest against FUBA’s move to refuse them to field their two players.

The said players are David Opolot (2) and Ferdinand Odama (2) who were banned in April by the Federation.

But the players had served their suspensions and played some games before Wednesday.

After the dust was settled, Our Saviour pilled misery to UPDF to claim their second win of the season.

Kenneth Mesho scored a double double of 13 points and as many rebounds while Moses Mugisha weighed in with 12 points in the victory.

Odama and Bernard Okumu had 11 and 10 points respectively but their efforts proved not enough on the long night at YMCA.

UPDF who have lost three in a row, missed 22 of their 24 shots from outside the arc and were out-rebounded 40-48.

In the Ladies fixture, JT Lady Jaguars suffered their second loss after 53-58 defeat against KIU Rangers.

The Jaguars were two up heading into the fourth quarter before a late collapse.

Ines Kanyamunza and Diana Letaru scored 16 points each for the Rangers who have won four in seven games.

Sarah Ageno had a double double of 18 points and 14 rebounds in the loss, their second in nine games.
