KCCA, Over To You

KCCA will go top of the Uganda Premier League table if they beat Express on Saturday at Prisons ground in Luzira.

This will be KCCA FC’s first game since losing 1-0 against Vipers in a heated game under floodlights at Kitende.

Then, it looked like the world had crumbled on KCCA but after Vipers have picked just one point in their subsequent two games, the title race is wide open.

And to be specific, KCCA are the front runners – The equation is simple for Lugogo-based side; win all your remaining matches and you will be crowned champions.

Going into Saturday’s match-day, KCCA are third on the log with 45 points, a point below Vipers and Villa who have played a game more.

KCCA FC’s goal difference is 15, Villa has 5 while Vipers’ is 19.

In their remaining four games, Express looks the biggest hurdle in comparison to BUL (H), Busoga United (A) and Bright Stars (H).

Against Express, they face a side that has gone three games without a win including a 4-1 defeat away to Arua Hill.

Express are 10 points above relegation and will just be fighting for pride in their remaining games of the season.

It’s strong to add that Express FC’s next fixture is against Vipers at Kitende.

The game against KCCA is a home fixture for the Red Eagles, but it will not be played at Wankulukuku as the venue will be hosting the Bika Tournament Opener.
