She Maroons and Uganda Martyrs WFC will face off in the long awaited final of the FUFA Women Cup to be held at the Bishop Maraka College Grounds, Kumi on Saturday.

The two sides, who have been brilliant this season have endured a good run to reach this far.

She Maroons ejected Asubo Gafford 3-2 on aggregate to reach the final stage.

And the prison Warders will be seeking for a double, having won the Women Elite league and are already back to the Fufa Women Super League next season.

They will bank on their forward Millicent Namwembe, who has been brilliant throughout this year’s edition if they are to achieve success in Kumi.

On the other hand, Uganda Martyrs will be seeking for their first silverware this season when they take on She Maroons.

The Lubaga based side finished third in the league and this is their only hope for silverware this season.

They have had a brilliant season in this year’s edition and they ejected FUFA women super League side Kawempe Muslim to reach the finals.

In She Maroons, they host a side that has been brilliant starting from the Elite league, where they were already declared champions.

But given their experience from the top league, Uganda Martyrs will bank on that together with some experienced players like Catherine Nagadya to get the job done in Kumi.

It’s strong to note that the FUFA women cup returned this year after close to three years and this is the fourth edition.

She Mak, UCU Lady Cardinals and Olila High School are among the past winners and a new Champion will be declared on Saturday.
