The Stanbic Black Pirates emerged as champions of the first circuit of the Nile Special National Rugby 7s, defeating their fierce rivals— KOBs,19-7 in the final at Dam Waters in Jinja.

This victory marked the Sea Robbers’ unbeaten run throughout the first circuit but also ended that of KOBs.

Facing Impis in the semifinals, Pirates continued their relentless performance, defeating the former 24-07.

On the other side of the tournament bracket, KOBs had also shown exceptional form throughout the competition.

Like Pirates, they had not suffered a single defeat until the final. However, it was Pirates who ultimately managed to end KOBs’ clean run of results, proving their mettle in the encounter.

Meanwhile, it was the Lady Cranes 1 select side who emerged victorious in the women’s campaign after a closely contested battle in the final against their counterparts from the second select team—Lady Cranes 2.
