Vipers Unveil Final Signing, Ghanaian Striker Fumador Awisome

Vipers SC have unveiled Ghanaian forward Awisome Fumador.

The center forward has signed a two-year employment contract with the Venoms – he will stay at Kitende until atleast 2025.

His confirmation as the latest Venom now makes him the eighth signing in the ongoing transfer window.

Vipers have also confirmed that he is the last, and they will not sign any other player after him in this transfer window.

Vipers have already unveiled Salim Ekbad, Giancarlo Rodriguez, Luiz Otavio Santos de Araujo alias Tinga, Richard Matovu, David Bagoole, Grant Matsiko and Paul Patrick Mbowa.

The Ghanaian has also previously played for Cape Coast Ebusuwa Dwarfs FC, Berekum Chelsea and Elmina Sharks FC very well knows the task ahead at Vipers;

“I’m really glad to be here. It’s going to be a good experience coming into such a big club.”

“It will be a new challenge because there are top players here, so I am going to give my best and get through the levels,” the striker added.

At Vipers, Fumador will compete for a starting place in the star-studded Kitende side with other internationals including Giancarlo Lopez Rodriguez, Desire Tety, Abubakar Lawal and Mohamed Salem Ekbad.

“The 27 year-old comes in to bolster our attack, as we seek to compete on all fronts next season, including the CAF Champions League, FUFA Super 8, Uganda Premier League and the Uganda Cup,” Vipers stated.

At Ebusuwa Dwarfs, the striker scored 20 goals between 2012-2014. At Berekum Chelsea, he netted 22 goals and at Elmina Sharks he scored six times.

Fumador also played at Elmina Glolamp Academy and Ho Hostel FC where he scored 15 and 10 goals respectively.

He has previously received national team call-ups both at the Ghana U-20 and U-23 levels in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
