FUFA Juniors League (FJL) defending Champions BUL FC JT yet again seem like they’re back in serious contention for the title they won last season.

The Jinja-based side kicked off the 2024 campaign with a very important 3-1 win against Express FC JT in Kampala on Sunday, February 11, 2024.

In the game played at Muteesa II Memorial Stadium, Wankulukuku, BUL first got two early goals in the first half, courtesy of Richard Okello in the 13th minute and Gift Fred Mutalya in the 35th minute.

Express JT then pulled one back through Victor Kazibwe before Nicholas Mutebi got the third for the visitors in the 72nd minute of the game to seal the opening victory for BUL away from home.

In the other games of the day, Gaddafi FC JT beat Vipers FC JT 2-0 at the Gaddafi Arena in Jinja, while SC Villa FC JT lost 1-0 away to Bright Stars at East High School, Ntinda.

Meanwhile, NEC FC JT drew 1-1 with KCCA FC SA at Coffee Grounds Bugolobi, as Wakiso Giants FC JT defeated Busoga United FC JT 2-1 at Kawanda SS, Bombo Road.
