UPL Confirms URA Relocation To Lugogo

The Uganda Premier League (UPL) Secretariat has receiving a notification from URA FC regarding the relocation of their home ground, Mehta Stadium in Lugazi, which is set to undergo renovations to become a cricket facility.

In a letter dated March 14, 2024, URA FC officially informed the UPL Secretariat of their decision to move their home matches due to the renovation of Mehta Stadium.

As a result, they requested that their upcoming match against Vipers SC, originally scheduled to be held at Mehta Stadium, be relocated to Omondi Stadium-Lugogo, where they have secured an alternative venue.

Additionally, the UPL Secretariat has made adjustments to accommodate players who recently participated in the Cranes squad, providing them with necessary recovery time.

Consequently, Match-Day 22 fixtures have been rescheduled as follows:

Thursday, March 28, 2024:

  • Maroons FC Vs Express FC at Prisons Ground-Luzira (4:00 pm)
  • KCCA FC Vs Busoga United FC at MTN Omondi Stadium-Lugogo (7:00 pm)

Friday, March 29, 2024:

  • Kitara FC Vs BUL FC at Masindi Stadium (4:00 pm)
  • Wakiso Giants FC Vs NEC FC at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium-Wakiso (4:00 pm)

Saturday, March 30, 2024:

  • SC Villa Vs Mbarara City FC at Muteesa II Stadium-Wankulukuku (4:00 pm)
  • URA FC Vs Vipers SC at MTN Omondi Stadium-Lugogo (7:00 pm)

Sunday, March 31, 2024:

  • Bright Stars FC Vs Gaddafi FC at Kavumba Recreation Ground-Wakiso (4:00 pm)
