Busoga United secured a crucial point against URA following a goalless draw at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in the Uganda Premier League, bolstering their fight against relegation.

This point lifts Busoga United three points clear of the red zone, although they’ve played one more game than fellow strugglers Gadaffi FC & UPDF FC, who will both play on Thursday.

With a challenging run of fixtures ahead against title-chasing teams, Busoga United still has an uphill battle to secure their survival.

They’ll first host BUL FC, then travel to Kitara, host Vipers, and wrap up the season with a match against Express.

Despite URA’s inconsistency this season, even after sacking Head Coach David Obua, they’ve maintained clean sheets in each game played at their new home, the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.

However, they’ve struggled to capitalize on their victory over NEC FC.

URA currently sits in 8th position with 35 points from 25 games, while Busoga United is in 13th place on the log with 22 points after 25 matches.

Next up, URA will travel to Mbarara City on Tuesday, May 7th, at Kakyeka Ground, while Busoga United will host BUL FC the following day.
