Nam Blazers are set to face the JT Jaguars as they strive to maintain their flawless record in the second round of the 2024 National Basketball League at Lugogo.

Having secured victories in their first two matches against Livingstone and Dmark Power, the Blazers are eager to secure a third consecutive win.

With an overall record of 10 wins and 3 losses in 13 games, all of their defeats occurred in the initial round of the season.

The team bolstered its roster with the additions of Diopa Lukusa and Arthur Wanyoto, both of whom have already played in the second round after the side released Geoffrey Soro and Guddi Nasser Kikiri earlier.

In their recent match against Power, the Blazers displayed some vulnerabilities, particularly in the second half, where they were outscored 30-37.

Stephen Nyeko’s side struggled from beyond the arc, missing 12 of 19 attempts, and committed 28 turnovers, while their defense faltered at times.

Team captain Paul Odongo managed only two points, and Michael Makiadi saw limited playing time with three minutes on the court.

Although the Blazers emerged victorious in their previous encounter with the JT Jaguars, securing an 86-76 win, they must elevate their performance to secure another win against the newcomers.

Under the guidance of coach Sudi Ulanga, the JT Jaguars recently defeated Power 79-68, marking their seventh win in 13 games this season.
