Rugby: Uganda Name Squads for Elgon Cup In Kisumu

Uganda’s senior rugby rugby 15 squads – Men and Women – have been revealed for the Elgon Cup first leg against Kenya set in Kisimu on Saturday, June 22.

The Elgon Cup is competed between the rugby union teams of Kenya and Uganda, annually on a basis of home and away.

Uganda will host the return leg on July 13 at Kyadondo.

The Rugby Cranes will be captained by Asuman Mugerwa and coached by Robert Sseguya who noted that his team is good to go and conquer Kenya at their own backyard.

Kenya takes the lion’s share with 12 titles against Uganda’s three in men. The last time Uganda won the Elgon cup was in 2012.
