Uganda Police FC put on a show as they thumped MYDA FC 6-1 at Lugogo on Saturday.

Ben Ocen and Brian Mululi each scored twice while Frank Tumwesigye and Muwadda Mawejje added a goal apiece on a day that Police were just too good.

First-half Substitute Moses Batali scored MYDA’s consolation goal.

The Cops were rampant from the very start and opened the scoring inside two minutes as Ocen brought down Zaga’s cross before firing into the back of the net.

Mululi added a second on 14 minutes off a neat pass by Tumwesigye.

Two minutes later, Mululi returned the favour as he set up Tumwesigye to net a third for Police.

With MYDA looking out of sorts, Mawejje was played through on goal by Tumwesigye before firing past the helpless Andrew Ssekandi.

Four soon became five on 31 minutes with Mululi completing his brace.

Batali who had replaced Mark Basmark earlier, pulled one back for MYDA, just before halftime as he lashed onto Ibra Nsimbe’s pass before squeezing an effort through the legs of Police custodian Thomas Ikara.

Police’s sixth came with 10 minutes to play with Ocen firing in on the half-volley from Eric Ssenjobe’s cross.

In the end, it was a resounding victory for Police who could have scored more but kept on missing good chances.

For MYDA, it was a reality for them as they have been awful all this season.

The result sees Police climb into 4th spot with 37 points while MYDA are still second from bottom with just 9 points from 20 games.

In their next fixtures, Police are away to Wakiso Giants on Wednesday while MYDA host Vipers SC on the same day.
