FUFA Summons Mbalangu and Co.

The incredible series of disagreements regarding contract breach between West Nile side Arua Hill and their now former head coach Hussein Mbalangu keep getting interesting.

Earlier this week, the management at Arua Hill confirmed the departure of the gaffer and his technical team citing what they referred to as excessive breakage of the club’s code of conduct and absconding from important calls.

It must further be remembered that prior to this, Mbalangu and his team had petitioned the FUFA Dispute Resolution Chamber soliciting for compensation from the club for breach of contract.

In a letter dated Monday 10th August 2021, the FUFA Dispute Resolution panel addressed Hussein Mbalangu, Ivan Ntambi and Joseph Kiwanuka with a confirmation to reception of their complaint.

As a result, the football coaches were asked to appear before the panel with supporting documents to their complaints about the club and the alleged breach of contract claims.

The date set for this panel hearing is Thursday 12th August 2021 and the session will kick-off at exactly 11:00am EAT at FUFA house in Mengo.

In the event that Mbalangu and company fail to show up for the hearing, the Dispute Resolution Panel will have no choice but take a decision regarding the matter using the only file in their possession.

This promises to be quite a rollercoaster and this new direction the series has taken might just be gearing for a mouthwatering climax.

It is also imperative to remember that this can of worms was opened the moment the West Nile giants decided to appoint Livingston Mbabazi to the head coach role despite the fact that Mbalangu’s contract was still ongoing.
