Hon. Evelyn Anite to Acquire Shares In Onduparaka

State Minister of Finance in Charge of Privatization and Investment Hon. Evelyn Anite is set to have a stake in Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka, a close source has told The-SportsNation.

The Minister will take over 20% shares in the struggling West Nile based side.

Founded in late October 2011 by Joe Erema and Benjamin Nyakuni, the Caterpillars are one of the most supported club in Uganda since their promotion to the top flight in 2015/2016 season.

Onduparaka is owned by Benjamin Nyakuni with majority shares of 60% shares while Joe Erema has 40%.

The development, if it comes to pass, will see Anite will join club chairman Nyakuni and Erema to spearhead the club to the glory days.

Onduparaka sits 13th on the log with 10 points after 13 games, the caterpillars will face Tooro United at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium on Saturday.

George Lutalo side was docked two points and two goals after their fans broke into the field to protest a controversial penalty that was awarded to KCCA at the Ababet Greenlight Stadium will led to the match being abandoned.

The match will now be replayed on Thursday, 3rd February at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground.
