Sida Alex: She Maroons Coach Positive After Draw With Lady Doves

She Maroons FC head Coach Sida Alex was delighted with an away draw against the defending champions Lady Doves in their FUFA Women Super League opener.

Making their debut in the top flight, She Maroons held the defending champions to a goalless draw at the Katushabe ground in Masindi.

Coach Sida says the draw meant a lot to them and it has motivated them.

“The draw has meant a lot, playing the defending champions of the Women Super League and we picked a point away from home is a good result,” he said.

“It has motivated us so much, yes we missed a couple of chances but they also missed theirs too but we have learnt a lot. it We want to add on this and players will be working harder.”

She Maroons FC will return to action on Saturday 12th away to UCU Lady Cardinals at the UCU ground in Mukono.

“It is a message for UCU that we are coming to play our game, we are coming to compete and we are coming to pick maximum points from them. I know we give them respect but we shall come and play our game.”

She Maroons FC Goalkeeper Adong Brenda was delighted after keeping a cleansheet.

“Am so much delighted for the game, we made a draw and am so happy for the cleansheet that I made. I am so much excited for that and I want to thank God for that.”

“We are going to prepare for the next game and I urge my teammates, the coach and the management to keep pushing us, we pray we shall make it to the next level.”
