UPDF FC Could Be Forced to Sack Brian Ssenyondo

Uganda Premier League side UPDF is making a decision on relieving Head Coach Brian Senyondo off his duties if the winless run continues.

This comes in the wake of a poor run of results which leaves the Army Side winless in their last eight league games.

Ssenyondo’s side last won a league game in December last year – a 2-1 home victory over Bright Stars courtesy of Ezekiel Katende and James Begesa goals.

In the last eight matches, UPDF have drawn four and lost as many.

Three consecutive draws against Police, SC Villa twice and a one all draw against BUL FC before Christmas while they have lost to Police FC, Vipers, Arua Hill and Wakiso Giants.

According to reports, former Coach Kefa Kisala is set to return to UPDF in what will be a second stint.

The Army side have also just scored six goals in their poor run of form in 8 matches and conceeded 14 times.

UPDF sits 8th on the log with 21 points, just six points above relegation after 17 matches.

UPDF will host Vipers at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground on Friday 18th before travelling away to BUL on 1st March.
