Marvin Youngman scored the only goal of the game as Bright Stars eliminated KCCA FC out of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Prior to the game, KCCA FC coach Morley Byekwaso said that their target this season was to win both the league and Uganda Cup.

But when Marvin Youngman shot in from close range after being set up by Ibrahim Kasinde in the 10th minute, KCCA FC never recovered.

The defeat also means that KCCA FC’s wait for an 11th Uganda Cup title will wait for another season.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan was forced into a big save to keep out Yasin Mugume’s effort in the 21st minute of the game and he was outstanding to keep out his free-kick as well.

The hosts improved in the second stanza, and Brian Majwega was twice denied by the goalkeeper who also kept out an effort from Julius Poloto. Hassan Jurua headed onto the cross bar to compound the hosts’ frustrations.
