Ateker FC 0-3 Maroons
Maroons FC were comfortable 3-0 winners over North East Fourth Division side Ateker FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 match played at Soroti Stadium.
First half brace from talisman Fred Amaku set the tone before Abraham Tusubira late goal booked the Prison Warders a place in the Round of 16.
Despite being dominant and aggressive in the opening 24 minutes of the game, Ateker FC failed to get a breakthrough.
As expected, Maroons scored first through Fred Amaku in the 25th minute before completing his brace three minutes later to double the visitors lead.
And Amaku’s brace was the difference between two sides at the end of halftime.
Tusubira sealed the win in the 84th minute to put Maroons beyond the reach of Ateker.
Maroons joins UPDF, Onduparaka, Wakiso Giants, Tipsha, Kataka, Police FC, Iganga, BUL FC, Mbale Heroes among others.
