Uganda’s 3*3 basketball groups at ISG
Men
•Pool B – Uganda, Iran, Maldives, Guyana and Mauritania
Women
•Pool A – Uganda, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Gambia
Uganda will be ably represented in 3×3 Basketball at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkey.
The Silverbacks (Men) and Gazelles (Women) will be making their debut at the tournament.
The teams, coached by Nicholas Natuhereza (UCU), have been training at Lugogo for the past week.
Basketball (3*3) will be held at Karatay Sports and Congress Center due August 13-17 August 2022.
Gazelles squad has a surprise inclusion of Maureen Amoding who made her debut with JT Lady Jaguars on Sunday while Daudi Okello is UPDF Tomahawks is on the Silverbacks team.
Uganda will also have participation in Athletics, Swimming among other Sports Discipline at the games held to strengthen Islamic camaraderie and reinforce the values of Islam, primarily to the youth.
