FUFA Big League table leaders Kitara FC will seek to tighten their grip when they take a long trip to the East to face Soroti City.

Kitara ended 2022 in style as they managed to keep their spot at the top of the table with a massive 4-0 victory against Luweero United at their home in Kigaaya playgrounds.

The side lead the log with 26 points, just one above Mbarara City.

Kitara head coach Mark Twinamatsiko has concerns about his team’s away performances where they have only managed to win just a single game and pick out two draws in the five games they have played on the road.

“Its a concern that our away form has not been as good as we hoped but we are finding not just quick but reliable solutions,” Twinamasiko said.

“Our conversion rate is still low while the way we defend must also improve.

“I believe the team has the character and determination to do better against Soroti City.”

Kitara FC have been so dominant in attack with striker Patrick Kaddu (13) looking to have found back his scoring boots alongside Edison Agondeze (8) with the pair scoring up 21 goals in total.

They will have to be at their very best if they are to help Kitara collect maximum points away from home.

In Soroti City, they face a struggling side who come into this game after a heavy defeat of 6-0 loss against the other promotion chasers Mbarara City but they have had their better performances come at home where they have managed to win three games.

Soroti City have the worst defending record in the league as they have conceded 26 goals from the 12 games they have played which has seen them sit in the 15th place on the table.
