Allan Okello Leaves KCCA

KCCA playmaker Allan Okello has written an emotional farewell message to all KCCA faithfuls.

The youngster made his departure official via a written statement on all his official social media handles.

Okello returned to the Lugogo based side last year in September on a season loan seal from Algerian side Paradou SC, a side he had joined in January 2020.

But after a rather disappointing season, Okello has made up his mind to go for greener pastures elsewhere.

And in his statement, the youngster first expressed his disappointment at the just concluded season before thanking the club.

“Hello KCCA FC, I have taken the last few days to reflect on the just concluded season. Our dream from the beginning was to win the double this season and it’s only right to accept that it was a very disappointing season for us,” Okello inked.

“While we may not have achieved our ultimate goal, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude.

“A special thank you our fans for welcoming me back at the club, an experience that I will always cherish and take with me forever. Despite the setbacks we faced, you never gave up and always pushed us until the very end.”

Before his move to Algeria in 2020, Okello was arguably one of the hot cakes at Lugogo, under then head coach Mike Mutebi.

He had won many hearts of KCCA fans due his outstanding performances at a young age.

On his return, he was welcomed by many KCCA fans with a big banner around the Lugogo based side and a standing ovation on his first home game.

And this season, he has scored six goals, registered eight assists and he has been arguably KCCA’s best performer for the club.

On his departure, Okello had some kind words to his teammates and club management.

Allan Okello added:

“To my fellow teammates, there is no failure in football, we always learn from even the harshest of experiences and I strongly believe you still have whatever it takes to achieve the dream at this great football club come next season.

“To everyone at the club, thank you for your unwavering support and belief. Together we have created memories that will last a lifetime, and I am forever grateful to be a part of this great football club. More than just a Club…. With Love #AO10”

Okello who is also linked to a move to Europe, is expected to return to his club Paradou.
