Jinja SSS emerged as the champions of the USSSA Ball Games 2 Rugby 7s held at Kabale NTC Grounds from 9th to 18th July, 2023.

The final saw them face their fellow Jinja-based rivals, Kiira College Butiki, in a one-sided affair that culminated in a resounding 26-0 victory for Jinja SSS.

With this triumph, they have secured their spot in the FEASSSA Games scheduled to take place in August in Huye, Rwanda.

Jinja SSS’s journey to glory was marked by a clean record of results, registering only wins from groups stages to the final.

Their triumph will see them join Hana International, the reigning East African schools rugby 7 champions, who secured an automatic spot in the FEASSSA Games campaign.

Alongside the victorious Jinja SSS and Hana International, Kiira College Butiki will also be making their way to the FEASSSA Games having come second in the recently concluded USSSA Rugjy 7s.

Joining the three aforementioned teams will be London College, who secured their place after defeating Ntare School in a tense third-place play-off, triumphing with a close scoreline of 14-12.

In the girls’ category, Nkoma SSS emerged as the victors after a series of intense round-robin matches against Jinja SSS and St. Katherine.

Their consistent top-of-the-log performances earned them the gold and a place of pride in the USSSA Ball Games 2.
