Time to Move On – Yunus Sentamu Hints On Vipers Exit

Vipers SC talisman Yunus Sentamu has hinted on leaving the club.

Sentamu made a tweet on Monday morning that has since turned heads.

“It’s time to move on ⚽πŸ’ͺ🏻 new home loading, Yunus 12πŸ€™πŸΎ,” Yunus Sentamu tweeted on his tweeter account.

Sentamu had rejoined Vipers back then in January 2021 on a two years deal, making a return since 2014.

But this year in June, it is said that his contract had expired and efforts to renew it failed to yield fruits, making his future doubtful at the club.

However, sources have it that the Striker still has 11 months on his current Vipers contract.

Sentamu’s departure will be a big blow to Vipers, for a player who has been a main man in the past seasons.

He has scored goals in and out, notably finishing as the top scorer way back in the 2020/21 season with 16 goals.

Adding on that, his combination with former Striker Ceaser Manzoki, where Vipers won the 2021/22 League title was superb as they were the hot cakes in that season.

During his second stint at Vipers, Sentamu has won two League title and two Uganda Cup trophies.

Sentamu is a journey who has featured for a number of clubs outside Uganda.

He has played for Tirana in Albania (2019), AS Vita (Congo), CS Sfaxien (Tunisia) and Ilves (Finland).
