KCCA FC Unveil Abdallah Mubiru As New Head Coach

KCCA FC has confirmed the appointment of Abdallah Mubiru as the club’s new head coach for a period of two years.

This ends speculations that have linked the job to Alex Isabirye and Sam Ssimbwa among others.

He replaces Portuguese coach Sergio Daniel Traguil, who amicably parted ways with the club in October.

The official unveiling took place under the auspices of the Club Patron, His Worship, the Lord Mayor for Kampala, Ssalongo Erias Lukwgo.

Mubiru’s tenure as Head Coach for KCCA FC is set from 2023 to 2025, and this marks his second stint in this role, having previously held the position in 2014.

His familiarity with the club extends beyond coaching, as he was a former player for KCCA FC during the 90s, adding a layer of connection and understanding of the team’s ethos.

The immediate challenge for Mubiru and his technical team is to guide KCCA FC’s season back on the path to success.

With his wealth of experience and insights into the team’s dynamics, expectations are high for a positive impact on performance.

Abdallah Mubiru’s coaching journey has traversed various teams, showcasing his versatility and expertise.

Prior to his current role, he has contributed his coaching skills to teams such as Police FC, Proline FC, Vipers SC, Mbeya City FC, and the Uganda Cranes.

This diverse experience positions him as a seasoned strategist capable of navigating the challenges of leading a prominent football club.

Mubiru is appointed just days after the club collected their first win of the season, beating Vipers 3-1 at Lugogo to snap their six-game winless run.
