NEC FC and BUL FC are set for a high-stakes showdown in the Stanbic Uganda Cup semi-finals at Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Following their 1-1 draw in the first leg at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru, Joseph Dhata’s crucial goal for NEC FC leveled the score after Jerome Kirya’s opener for BUL FC, giving NEC the edge.

NEC FC, unbeaten against BUL FC this season, will look to capitalize on their home advantage.

However, they’ll miss Allan Mugalu’s services.

A win or even a goalless draw will secure NEC FC’s maiden Uganda Cup final appearance.

Meanwhile, BUL FC, will be eyeing their third Uganda Cup final appearance in four seasons, having faced Vipers in those two.

Abbey Kikomeko’s squad, buoyed by their recent victory against Vipers at Namboole in the league to go top, arrive with momentum.

They understand that any win will propel them to the final, awaiting on the winner between Kitara and Pajule Lions.

Yet, they’ll have to cope without Douglas Muganga.
