UPDF Lady Tomahawks stunned Miracle Ravens, winning 68-59, in the National Basketball League game played on Wednesday at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The Lady Tomahawks started poorly, trailing 19-26 after the first quarter and despite cutting the deficit to just two points with two minutes to end of the game, UPDF rallied to seal the game with a 7-0 run.

Stella Maris Lunkuse led the way with a double double of 11 points and as many rebounds while Christine Namyalo and Elsy Khaboshe added 12 and 11 points respectively.

Hanifa Namuli and Akello Winfred scored 18 points each,the latter adding 12 rebounds, but it proved in vain.

The win sees UPDF return to winning ways, breaking a five-game losing streak since beating Nabisunsa on March 10.

It’s the fifth loss of the season in 14 games for Arnold Katabi’s Miracle Ravens who had established themselves as the best-of-the-rest team in the division.
