Vipers moved top of the Uganda Premier League table after overcoming Express in a game under Kitende floodlights.

Milton Karisa scored the only goal, with the captain tapping in home after a good ball from Yunus Sentamu in the 20th minute.

Vipers could have doubled the lead in the 63rd minute but Karim Watambala sent his penalty wide after a foul on Yunus Sentamu.

Sentamu earlier missed chances in the first half, Allan Okello was denied from freekick, while Karisa failed to find the net with Express goalkeeper Abdu Kimera beaten.

Vipers now lead the table, tied on 49 points with BUL, but with a superior goal difference of +21 compared to BUL’s +15.

Vipers’ remaining games include NEC (A), Busoga United (A), & Mbarara City (H).
