Fred Amaku scored a brace as Maroons FC eased past Calvary FC 3-0 in the Big League on Thursday, June 03.

Solomon Walusimbi scored the other for the Prison Warders who have now won both of their last two games.

Calvary wherein the offensive early in the game but Julius Malingumu’s shot at goal was comfortable for the keeper.

On the half hour mark, Amaku gave the hosts the lead with his first of the afternoon.

Calvary tried to respond before the break but Maroons held on to go into the break with a slender one-goal margin.

Six minutes past the hour mark, Walusimbi extinguished and hopes of a q come-back as he doubled the hosts’ lead.

On 78 minutes, Amaku dispatched a penalty to put the icing on the cake and seal all three points for Maroons.

Victory means Maroons move to 5th on the log with 13points.

For Calvary, they drop to 6th, level on points with Maroons but with an inferior goal difference.

Maroons next assignment is on Saturday away to Mbale Heroes at the Mbale Municipal Ground.

Calvary on the other hand take on leaders Arua Hill in the West Nileq derby at the Greenlight stadium on the same day.
