Free Agent Kirabira Willing to Stay Put at Kyetume Despite Relegation

Out of Contract midfielder Isaac Kirabira is willing to stay put with Kyetume FC even after the side was relegated from the upper echlones of Uganda Premier League.

The former SC Villa midfider joined the Mukono based side in 2019/20 season after expiration of his contract with KCCA FC. He had spent over three seasons with the Kasasiro Boys.

“Football is my job but currently I am a free agent after the expiration of my contract,” Isaac Kirabira exclusively told The-SportsNation website.

“As earlier stated this is my job and I’m willing to play for Kyetume provided they give me all as the’ve done recently.

“I don’t mind where, which level they are.”

Kirabira says there has been strife at the club but the going must keep rolling

“My two years of contract at kyetume weren’t easy to reckon given a number of challenges faced even recently when the team got relegated but as players we manage it out.

“There has been lack of bonding in the team and I think its one other factor that we faced last season,” Kirabira added.

Isaac Kirabira also says as players they were confident they would do all the possible to see the club stay in the top flight.

“As players we were willing to do all the necessary to see the club survive relegation but that couldn’t come true as the pandemic hit has early.

“We were only three points adrift of Busoga United and we were willing to fight see survival in our three games,” ge further told The-SportsNation.

Kyetume were among the three teams relegated in the 2020/21 Uganda premier league season along with MYDA FC and Kitara.
