Preview: Mbalangu, Mbabazi Point Guns at Former Bosses.

Mbarara City interim coach Hussein Mbalangu and his opposite at Arua Hill Livingston Mbabazi will be facing former teams as the two teams meet at Kakyeka.

Mbalangu left in not the best of ways after the gaffer helped the team secure top flight promotion, and the gaffer was asked to deputize Mbabazi.

There is surely bad blood between Mbalangu and Arua Hill after the case was reported at FUFA!

Mbalangu will have all the reasons to take revenge against Arua Hill.

Mbalangu was later on picked as a care-taker manager to fill the void left by Kefa Kisala who reportedly disappeared from his role as head coach at the Ankole Lions.

At Mbarara City, he got off a winning start following his side’s 3-1 win against Soltilo Bright Stars in their first game of the season at Kakyeka. However, they lost to Tooro United in their second game.

Ahead of this tie, Mbalangu’s charges come with fresh legs given the fact that their game against UPDF was called off due to a heavy downpour earlier this week.

Mbabazi together with his assistant Sadik Sempiki, will be returning to Mbarara after the duo helped the side survive relegation.

At Arua Hill, they beat defending Champions Express FC 2-0 at their home ground in Wankulukuku.

Mbabazi’s second game in charge came against Onduparaka in the West Nile derby which ended goalless.

Returning to Mbarara, the gaffer will build on the fact that they are yet to concede or lose any game against already established premier league clubs.

In a game of many subplots, Mbarara City will fancy their chances given that they will be playing in front of their fans.

Match Stats

  • The two sides will be meeting for the first time in the Uganda Pemier League, given the fact that Arua Hill are new entrants this season.
